Awesome!

I just played it for the first time (I got to the quadbikes..), that is one kickass game. The graphics were awesome (Dan is just.. brilliant), even at the times when I set it to low quality. Awesome coding, the game was just.. well I'm lost for words, but it's better than most console games.

Loved the in-jokes too, I killed Wade and Afro Ninja!

Wow.

That was a superb game.

The gameplay was mediocre but it was different, I did the first level in 4 clicks :P Woohoo. The main menu was beautiful, it's hard to believe you did that in API, that must account for about 2kb of the game alone!

Excellent game, keep it up, etc.. -liam-

P.S. - This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.
P.P.S. - I was mentioned in the comments, yay for me.

Not bad.. guess my BBS posts raised it a lot :P

Good use of the NG 'soundtrack' and theme, and everything was very well made.

Great game :P

Excellent game, very basic but also very interactive. Good to see you (Tom) using your actionscript skills productivly, and I expect to see more awesome games like this in the future.

Once again, awesome game + graphics too.

Raise. Awareness.

Woohoo, this game is one of those games that is entertaining and has a hidden depth. fat people aren't [always] funny.

Anyway, great game and thanks for making it ;)

Superb Example

Thats an excellent example of API coding and I am impressed with how well it worked. It could have done with a bit of sound but of course that would have increased the filesize by at least 500% :P

I'm glad it was I that inspired you to make something in API and it turned out great.

By the way, what is the exact filesize?

Great ideas

Very good ideas, I didn't particulary enjoy the colour scheme but it was pretty well made so it wasn't bad, the worst thing was that there were no shades so the authors couldn't use the sort of style they like (the next one is going to be awesome, great choice of colours).

The games were well made and very intuitive, I enjoyed Xelious game the most, it was GTA-esque yet distinctively different and new.

Keep it up, this deserves front page.

Glaiel-Gamer responds:

yeah, but the chances are slim though. Green and black will do very well.

Cool

Ok, heres the review I promised :)

First off, it is a really cool game and very well made without too many flaws. The graphics in particular were really awesome and really great, the sound was really annoying so being able to turn it off was a nice touch and definitly needed to be included. The game was very interactive, allowing me to do practically everything I can on the real newgrounds, though I thought getting banned so much was a bit annoying as I didn't even post on the BBS much (so unlike me real self!), nearly every post got me banned and the bans lasted too long too (starting a spam topic = 8 day ban?). I really liked how you implemented the stats too, allowing me to see how many views my flash have got, etc.

The frame rate was a bit slow I think, when typing into an input text box such as in the profile, the game seemed to be slow and this was a little annoying. Also I think, though cool and funny, the thing you did with the mods was a bit too much, a different background for each was a bit much and maybe just one background such as the NG tank or whatever would have been better, and also it would have saved on filesize which is quite an issue here, though the game is worth the wait.

To summarise, the game is great and very enjoyable and detailed but you could fix it up a little.

Good job - DEADSiM2.

It was ok

To say you are 13, the game was alright.

First off, the graphics DID suck, which I am sure you are well aware of, but at least the graphics resembled what they were meant to, also the hotel/house looked pretty sweet, you did a good job on that.

The coding was pretty simple, but you pulled it off well, you gave everything, a choice of weopons... the pre-loader game was a nice touch but there were only a few enemies, next time maybe make a random spawn code which shouldn't be too difficult as long as you set some _x and _y spawn points so nothing messes up there.

The sounds were good, not bad quality and always played at the right moment so not much fault here, but a good background song would be a nice touch but make sure it fits the genre well or you could look a fool, something slightly... rocky.. but not too harsh or loud and without lyrics, check the audio portal.

Violence, well it was only held back by the graphics, I loved the alien creature things falling out of the windows, that was sweet and a great touch.

Humour was a none, which is a good thing because it wasn't a comedy :D

So, I suggest you should make another 'Grave' game but make it a little longer and better graphics. I suggest you should get someone else to help so they can do the graphics or help with someone else, whatever... I know I'd love to help, if you want to get in touch contact me at deadsim2[@]gmail[.]com :)

Keep it up - 3/5

It was good

It was good but I couldn't bear to play it for as long as I would have liked! Sim City is one of my favourite games too, so this game really looked cool, and it it very impressive.

I cannot review this game in depth as I haven't played it long enough, the mouse was annoying me!! Please update it so that the mouse is invisible, or using a custom cursor is pointless.

Mouse.hide();

!!!

Great game though, please change that!

TFX responds:

Aaron says that the mouse DOES hide.
