Such a simple game, very fun. Add a mute button though, please, for the love of God :P
Certainly lots to play with.
For a tip, AS3 has the ability to save data to the local computer and the as3corelib has a jpeg encoding class so you can simply encode the image and save :) Also makes it tonnes easier to upload the image to a server. Nice server work though, the uploaded icon webpage thing is quite snazzy.
So you're saying I could have the Flash Player encode a JPG file and save it directly to the user's machine? I'll have to look into that.
Although, with regard to uploading to a server after that, they user would then have to take extra steps after that to upload it themselves, right? I couldn't very well write a JPEG file onto a server using the Flash Player, I wouldn't think. It's not going to have permissions to do so.
One of the best flash games I've seen
The gameplay isn't terribly unique but it is very well done, the presentation is absolutely superb and there's enough depth to keep you addicted for hours. The only slight problem I have is that there's a bit too much information to take in, for example on the buying (or managing, or whatever) frame, there's a little too much information and it takes a while to digest whats going on, but maybe I'm just a bit tired ;)
Absolutely fantastic, I can see myself coming back to this again and again :)
Great engine and great story!
It's very refreshing to see a game with a story and the story being presented so well (a simple story, but that's not a bad thing) in Flash. Very well done, and very impressive game engine, the lighting was pretty much spot on :)
Stuff like this makes me proud to be on Newgrounds
It also proves that you have a very bright future ahead of yourself. This engine is so original (well, the concept may have been used before but I've never seen it) and it's done so well - starogre did a brilliant job with the art, it's so fitting to the game that I don't think it could have been improved at all.
Well done on the game, I can't criticise anything at all. Fantastic :)
I'm not sure what you need to do with Alchemy to get it working in Flash, as I haven't tried messing with it yet, but this is a brilliant example of what is possible. Although the fps for me was really low, despite it being Doom which natively runs on any PC uberfast, hopefully people with faster computers will be able to run this with no problem.
There is no reason this should be any other than 5/5, one of the best games ever created now playable in the browser, what more can anyone want :)
No redeeming qualities..
Firstly, this is not Halloween related in any way.
Secondly, the art in this game was really bad, you attempted to have a story but in reality there was none, the gameplay was simple and unfun, the sound was annoying.
I completed it, for some reason, but I didn't enjoy it..
I DONT KNOW WHY THIS IS IN THE HALOWEEEN COLLECTION, JUST GET OFF MY FUCKING BACK PEOPLE!
i suck at art, you know, laptop wit mouse. kinda hard to draw awesomelly. and maybe you completed it cause you liked it, but you don't wanna admit it...
I think the "loader" is an animation, since I closed the window by accident then reopened and it took the same time to load again, sticking at 98%. I'm all for helping the indie developer, but don't try to force us to look at your ads for longer than we should :P
Anyway, good game, autosave is a big plus.. a bit repetitive but it's fun.
Although the gameplay was a bit stellar (1 weapon, basic AI compared to the large variety available in Madness Interactive), the concept is great and it's a short fun escape into the Madness world. Brilliant art that managed to be both Madness inspired and distinctively MindChambers.
Thank you for the fun distraction, happy Madness Day :)
Wasted too much time on this :P Completed+glowy framed most of them already, thank god for the auto save XD
Look forward to #2.
